A collective effort!
L’Épicentre is a truly collective undertaking, thanks in good part to the contributions of some 30 volunteers, including community residents and persons seeking to reintegrate the job market.
We are equally grateful for the participation of partner organizations such as Maison Benoît Labre, which shares many of its ressources with us, and the active support of our neighbourhood roundtable, Solidarité Saint-Henri (SSH), which for instance includes many organizations having participated in the pre-pandemic food security and autonomy committees.
As a new organization, the Épicentre receives coaching from community organizers at SSH, the CIUSSS and the Southwest Borough.
For me, the Épicentre is more than just food aid, it’s a place to meet and exchange with people who have big hearts. In my view, that’s what makes the Épicentre so beautiful.
